Institution 1
Code Web Art

This series is derived form the painting Institution. "Parts" created from sections of the painting are organized in groups and called by the program. The program I am using is a simple Java script display window. It was created with the intent of showing a rotating group of pictures on a web page. I have re-written the program to a multi-grouped modular complex including variables within the sub groups. The design is similar to a digital colony.

#1 (starting from uniformity) this program is a progression of the called picture parts starting from uniformity. This uniformity is repeated through several cycles re-presenting the parts, displaying the field form created by them. The translation of uniformity in the repetition of the single parts dramatically changes the field form though the display system is unchanged. The stager in display is a real time wave form created by memory delay in loading. It is not in the code. However is played with, and later influences the code. While this program is simple it represents a significant metaphorical model outlining my long standing concerns with field forms, wave forms, code, and experiential translations to the individual persona.

#2 (starting from uniformity) While the first cycle presents a uniform field, it is immediately disrupted in the second cycle. The singularity of a disrupted field form against the re-establishing of the field form and later mutating the form into a new field which in turn is disrupted, suggests a complex at the edge of our perception, or a flirtation with chaos.

#3 (starting from uniformity) While the first cycle presents a uniform field, it is immediately disrupted in the second cycle. The field form is quickly re-established by groupings of the called pictures mutating the structural form into a new field. These new fields are in turn disrupted.

#4 (starting from uniformity) includes aFX_sil_2rt1, 2, 3 (New Pictures Introduced) The first cycle presents a uniform field which is immediately disrupted in the second cycle. The field form is both groupings and single odd pictures.

#5 (starting from uniformity) includes aFX_sil_3_rt1, 2, 3 (New Pictures Introduced) The ramping up of complexity interspersed with the conceptual basics, raises the question of human limitations of perception. At what point does our memory limitations introduce experiential randomization and the illusion of infinity. How does the wave form between our eyes and brain alter the experience?

#6 (No more starting from uniformity) Disruption is the norm and includes aFX_sil_4_rt1, (end 1st row common) There is no unified field presented in this program. The cycles suggest that such a thing may exist, but not in this program. Metaphorically I relate this to life. The complexity, apparent randomness, and glimpsing of dissected parts rotation past our perception make strong suggestion of structural unity but in fact disrupt us with diversity. At the same time the insisting patterns keep our focus on the probability of unity.

#7 In this program I am confused. It seems to me there is a re-occurring pattern organization which may be out of my reach. I know that I don't know. Even as the creator I must look at the code and reverse engineer the structure to get a handle on weather random or rigid math is the route design. includes aFX_sil_5_rt1,

#8 The questions and answers here are similar to #7 program but with a few more layers of complexity. includes aFX_sil_5_rt2, 3 (6th Row)

#9 There is no more confusion at this point. I have coded threads of randomness which throw any possibility of a unified field into a realm of mathematical theory. includes aFX_sil_8_rt2, 3 ( added 2 more column ) 2x Rotation Here & There

#10 The size of the program at this point is larger than my tool of perception. The browsers I am using must be scrolled to view parts of the picture. To my metaphorical mind the first hint of defining the difference between object and environment comes into play. includes aFX_sil_9_rt2, 3

#11 I am starting to think at this point that what I had started with as a unified field form, may exist in a local situation as a limited perception and also be part of a larger field form which includes disunity and structural integrity. includes aFX_sil_9_rt2, 3

#12 includes aFX_sil_9_rt2, 3 ... I think at this level of reworking there is enough going on here that basic statements on the intended discovery are adequately described. So we can just enjoy it as a work of art, allowing intuition to suggest new directions.
